In our family law litigation practice, we handle all disputes related to or arising out of a contested or uncontested divorce, including:

We also represent individuals in legal separation disputes, as well as uncontested adoption proceedings.
Juvenile Law
A significant part of our practice involves the representation of minors in juvenile court. Most of the matters that we handle involve juvenile criminal cases, including the defense of charges such as shoplifting, assault and battery, underage possession of alcohol, possession of marijuana and truancy.
We also work with clients who are involved in or need to file a Child in Need of Services (CHINS) petition. This may be a request from the parents resulting from an inability to control or discipline the child.
Abuse and Neglect Cases
We represent parents in cases of alleged abuse and neglect, where the Department of Social Services (DSS) has filed a petition for a protective order and sought removal of a child from the parents' home. We have a healthy skepticism of the Department, based on years of experience in handling these types of claims. Our first objective is to determine the strength of the state's case and identify what will be in the best interests of the child. If there is documented evidence to support the removal and protective order, we will work with you to take the necessary steps to get your child back, including setting up substance abuse rehabilitation or counseling for behavior modification.
